What We Believe
BIBLE
We believe the Bible to be the inspired and infallible Word of God. The Bible is the only God-given authority which man possesses. Therefore, all doctrine, faith, hope, and instruction for the church must be based upon and harmonized with the Bible. It is to be read and studied by all men everywhere. The anointing of the Holy Ghost will give clear understanding to the scriptures.
THE ONE TRUE GOD
We believe in the one eternal God, infinite in power, holy in attributes and purpose, and possessing absolute indivisible deity. This one true God has revealed Himself in the Spirit as Father, in the flesh as the Son while he walked among men and in His church today as the Holy Ghost. Jesus Christ is the image of the invisible god (Col 1:15-19). For in Him dwelleth the fullness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in Him…Col 2:9-10
GOD’S PLAN OF SALVATION
Jesus gave Peter the keys to the kingdom. On the Day of Pentecost, when the church began, Peter opened the door of salvation to all mankind when he preached the Gospel that still has the power to save today. “Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.” Acts 2:38
DIVINE HEALING
We have all witnessed and experienced the healing power of Jesus Christ. The Bible says of believers, “they shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover.” We anoint those who are sick with the oil in the name of the Lord (James 5:14-16) and believe the promise of God for their healing.
HOLINESS
We believe the life of every Christian should be free from sin, immortality and worldliness. We are to be examples of the teachings of Jesus Christ. The Bible says, “For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, teaching us that denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously and Godly in the present world. “Titus 2:11-12
SECOND COMING OF CHRIST
We believe the time is drawing near when our Lord should appear. The dead in Christ shall rise first and we who are alive and remain shall be caught up with them to meet the Lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord. I Thess 4:13-17
CHRIST IS THE HEAD
We believe that He is the head of the body, the church; who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things He might have the preeminence. For it pleased the Father that in Him should all fullness dwell. Col 1:15-29
THE BLOOD OF CHRIST
We believe in the Virgin birth of Jesus. He was born both human and divine. He was God manifested in the flesh. And by His blood, our conscience is purged from dead works to serve the living God. Heb 9:11-28; Heb 10:1-39; Matt 1:18-23; I Tim 3:16
RESSURECTION
We believe in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and that He ascended on high and has sent His spirit, the Holy Ghost, which was poured out in Jerusalem over 2,000 years ago. That same spirit fills hearts today. And this same Jesus, who is taken up from you into Heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen Him go into Heaven. I Cor 15:4; Matt 28:5-6; II Cor 5:15; Acts 2:4
